Last month in the face of the evolving Covid-19 global pandemic the association of Ringside Physicians recommended “that all governing bodies in combat sports adhere to current CDC guidelines relating to mass gatherings“.
This week the ARP Camiseta FC Utrecht tightened their position and flat out stated that “all” combat sports events must be suspended until additionally notice. They sensibly point out that not only would events raise the risk of virus transmission but also the reality that lots of combat sports athletes require medical attention after Camiseta Gremio bouts and this would strain the already overly taxed medical system. The ARP’s most current statement reads as follows:
The association of Ringside Physicians has been actively following the recommendations of the CDC as well as other professional medical societies concerned with the spread of COVID-19, or novel coronavirus.

It is our recommendation that all combat sporting events be postponed until additionally notice.
